4.0 out of 5 stars LED DVD, 13 May 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?)
This review is from: Toshiba 19DL502B 19-inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV with Freeview and Built-in DVD Player - Black (New for 2012) (Electronics)
The picture quality is excellent. the sound is not brilliant but has adjustment and is as a small tv with small speakers is to be expected. The DVD is rather noisy when it first spins the disc up though which is dissapointing. ALSO NOTE that if you want to mount it on a VESA barcket on the wall you will have problems. I had to take a hacksaw to my VESA bracket to get it to fit on the back of the TV as the DVD case protrudes and prevents the VESA mount from screwing on. Therefore buy a mount that is a 'X' type so you only have to hacksaw one leg of the 'X' to get it to fit.

3.0 out of 5 stars A mediocre TV for the kitchen, 7 May 2012
This review is from: Toshiba 19DL502B 19-inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV with Freeview and Built-in DVD Player - Black (New for 2012) (Electronics)
On the plus side the picture on the TV is okay and it can be seen clearly from many angles. The sound from the speakers is okay for a small TV.

After a couple of months the slight niggles with our TV that would stop me recommending it are: a slightly irritating clicking noise; the TV doesn't always turn off when pressing the power button on the remote; and on a couple of occasions the TV lost all the channels and had to be retuned (this was long after the Freeview switchover had finished). It seems as though the clicking noise on other LED TV sets is related to faulty capacitors that may need replacing in the future (search 'LED TV clicking'). However, as long as the TV continues to work the clicking noise in a kitchen is just a minor irritation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful picture, great dvd player.... but horrid EPG, 3 May 2012
This review is from: Toshiba 19DL502B 19-inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV with Freeview and Built-in DVD Player - Black (New for 2012) (Electronics)
Really good picture quality (back-lit), I am very happy with it and the DVD works well with clear picture. Sound is what you would expect on a 19" TV; I think it's fine. You wouldn't be using it in a huge room.

The problem I have with the TV is the truly awful EPG. It seems a bit mean to mention it when the picture is so good, but I am finding it extremely irritating! When you press the EPG button all sound and picture is switched off and you search in total silence against a black screen - this may be normal for small TV's, I don't know. I am used to having the current programme continue in a small frame at top of the screen so you can following it while you search for the next programme or some thing to watch later. Now if I am working in the kitchen, I must wait for the adverts before searching EPG, but then there is no way of knowing when the adverts have finished without quickly flicking back. Well I say quickly, there is an annoying delay before the EPG comes and... Read more
