4.0 out of 5 stars LED DVD, 13 May 2012

This review is from: Toshiba 19DL502B 19-inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV with Freeview and Built-in DVD Player - Black (New for 2012) (Electronics)
The picture quality is excellent. the sound is not brilliant but has adjustment and is as a small tv with small speakers is to be expected. The DVD is rather noisy when it first spins the disc up though which is dissapointing. ALSO NOTE that if you want to mount it on a VESA barcket on the wall you will have problems. I had to take a hacksaw to my VESA bracket to get it to fit on the back of the TV as the DVD case protrudes and prevents the VESA mount from screwing on. Therefore buy a mount that is a 'X' type so you only have to hacksaw one leg of the 'X' to get it to fit.

3.0 out of 5 stars A mediocre TV for the kitchen, 7 May 2012
This review is from: Toshiba 19DL502B 19-inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV with Freeview and Built-in DVD Player - Black (New for 2012) (Electronics)
On the plus side the picture on the TV is okay and it can be seen clearly from many angles. The sound from the speakers is okay for a small TV.

After a couple of months the slight niggles with our TV that would stop me recommending it are: a slightly irritating clicking noise; the TV doesn't always turn off when pressing the power button on the remote; and on a couple of occasions the TV lost all the channels and had to be retuned (this was long after the Freeview switchover had finished). It seems as though the clicking noise on other LED TV sets is related to faulty capacitors that may need replacing in the future (search 'LED TV clicking'). However, as long as the TV continues to work the clicking noise in a kitchen is just a minor irritation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful picture, great dvd player.... but horrid EPG, 3 May 2012
This review is from: Toshiba 19DL502B 19-inch Widescreen HD Ready LED TV with Freeview and Built-in DVD Player - Black (New for 2012) (Electronics)
Really good picture quality (back-lit), I am very happy with it and the DVD works well with clear picture. Sound is what you would expect on a 19" TV; I think it's fine. You wouldn't be using it in a huge room.

The problem I have with the TV is the truly awful EPG. It seems a bit mean to mention it when the picture is so good, but I am finding it extremely irritating! When you press the EPG button all sound and picture is switched off and you search in total silence against a black screen - this may be normal for small TV's, I don't know. I am used to having the current programme continue in a small frame at top of the screen so you can following it while you search for the next programme or some thing to watch later. Now if I am working in the kitchen, I must wait for the adverts before searching EPG, but then there is no way of knowing when the adverts have finished without quickly flicking back. Well I say quickly, there is an annoying delay before the EPG comes and... Read more

I have a large summer house in my garden which has been fitted out to be an external living room and I needed something reasonably priced, not too large and with a good picture. I have a hardwired ethernet link to the summerhouse so this TV was intended, via the connection of my Vaio laptop, to show media content streamed from my server in the house.

I have friends and family who have brought LG and though I never have, I had always been impressed with the specification so I delved into it on this TV before purchase and was very surprised to see that at this price point it had DLNA connectivity via an ethernet network port. This tipped the balance in it's favour as DLNA is a feature usually reserved for most manufacturers flagship TV's.

Amazon delivered via Citylink within about 14 hours and the TV took about ten minutes to be ready to go; batteries in remote, attach stand and remove plastics. As you would expect with an LED TV it's very thin and very light; I... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great picture, easy setup and an all-round fantastic TV, 21 May 2012
Amazon Verified Purchase( What is this?)
Picture
Put a Blu Ray film on and you'll not regret buying this TV. The size, picture, colour depth and different colour picture modes are flawless. The only problem is realising how bad standard definition TV really is!

UI
Not that the menu is a key player when choosing a TV, it is important. Luckily; this one's spot on!

DLNA / USB
The TV picked up my computer (Windows 7) and all of its films and music in seconds. HD/Blu Ray films stream fine too, which I was unsure or originally. My only gripe is that it doesn't pick up the folders. However, plugging an external HD straight into the USB slot on the back of the TV does pick up all of the folders :).

Sound
As with all flat screens, the sound isn't great. However, by fitting it up with one of these: LG BDH9000 5.1ch 850W 3D Blu-ray... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars LG 32LS5600 32 inch HD LED TV Review, 20 Sep 2012

Customer Video Review Length:: 6:41 Mins

User video review of the LG LS325600 (32 inch) full HD TV with DNLA
showing rear connections and video picture quality comparisons from standard, freeview and high definition sources, along with a description of some of the menu functions.

This TV provides a very good picture quality for the price and though the freeview channels it receives, are only in standard definition, it does a very good job of upscaling them to near HD standard. and the difference is not that noticeable on most programs.
The reason I chose this one, over the other competing models in it's price range , was it's 100hz refresh (motion clarity) rate, which the others didn't have and the fact, it has a swivel stand.
The sound is pretty good for this type of TV considering how little room they have to put speakers on them. It does have an optical audio out for connecting to external equipment and a headphone out as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars IT IS A SMART TELE, 1 May 2012

This review is from: Samsung UE26EH4510 26-inch Widescreen HD Ready Smart LED TV with Freeview and Built-in Wi-Fi - White (New for 2012) (Electronics)
The TV arrived in three working days in excellent, original boxed condition, and was by far the cheapest on the Web, believe me, I check, then check again. The TV itself is excellent and is just right for a medium sized room when positioned on a decent wall mount. The picture quality is superb and linked with the 'Smart' features, makes this TV a very good buy. One word of advise, connect your Sky Magic Eye via the coaxial and tune it into Analogue and NOT digital on your TV. This tip will save you hours trying to figure out why you can't tune your TV.

I bought this TV having researched 26 inch TVs for several weeks. I am very happy. Amazon's price (316.43) was the cheapest on the web - beating some online retailers by 70. The TV is great and the white finish is contemporary. Originally I'd only planned to use the TV within my home gym. However I have now connected it up to my PC via HDMI, and can use it as a second monitor, and my NAD Hifi within my office. The TV is light enough to easily move between rooms. The picture quality is great, colours are vibrant, sound is good (given the size of the TV) and the TV picks up a clear signal, even the one time I had forgotten to plug in the TV aerial. I'd recommend this TV to anyone looking to buy a 26inch LED.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking TV - NO BBC IPLAYER, 3 July 2012
By
Jonathan L Lighthill (London United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Samsung UE26EH4510 26-inch Widescreen HD Ready Smart LED TV with Freeview and Built-in Wi-Fi - White (New for 2012) (Electronics)
We needed a new smaller TV that you can connect to the internet wirelessly and get BBC iplayer and this looked the job. I was wary that it was so new that no reviews were available. It definitely looks the part and works well. The SMART TV works ok apart from the fact that there is no BBC iplayer. It does not work on this TV. Samsumg have been suggesting that I take it to a service centre to get fixed. But it is obviously not an error with my particular set. It is some kind of general problem.

Very disappointed with this aspect of it.
