Having had to return 2 tvs (from other companies) I couldn't believe how good this one is.
1st it looks good in our bedroom as it is a lovely silver grey.
2nd the picture is good - don't bother with hd ready, get full hd.
3rd the sound, whilst not brilliant, is acceptable for a bedroom tv and we have been able to get rid if extra speakers that took up space but were necessary for the other 2 tvs.
4th the epg is not only good but enables you find a programme to record (on a flash stick) and saves a programme so that it will change the station to that one when it comes on - no missing the start of your favourite. Our main tv doesn't do that!
5th you can pause the programme - if the phone rings for instance- and then play when required or record the programme you are watching - ideal if you are too tired to watch to the end of a film.
6th the remote control is large, easy to use and understand. The 2nd tv we tried had the worst remote possible, too small and... Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Good item, abysmal customer support., 12 Aug 2012

I purchased this item last week with hopes of using it for my xbox 360 and for the DVD player. I set the little TV up and began testing all of its features, and they all worked brilliantly. The TV was operational for around 1 hour before the screen became distorted and jittery, then the TV just refused to turn on any more.

I contacted their customer support and was promised a call back within 2 hours. 5 hours later and still no contact from Finlux. I messaged the seller through Amazon explaining my problem and enquiring why I received no call back, and he apologised about that and promised me another call back the following day. In hope of this call back, I waited in my house all day for this call, but to no avail. I then decided to contact them myself, adding more to my phone bill, where I was met by an out-of-hours operator that had no clue what I was talking about. She then told me I'd get a call today.

The exact same thing happened again, no call, so I phoned... Read more

The screen is 21.5, and narrow at 10.5 inches. There are controls for the TV. on the T.V. itself, but they are for emergency only, being very difficult to get at, and one being a multifunction type.
Replacement remotes are available from Finlux,
Another possible problem are the 'presets' for the display. You are not able to adjust the brightness/contrast to suite yourself; you have to select one of the four 'preset' displays.
The sound is ok for a small room, as it is a small TV, but you can plug p.c speakers in the headphone socket if you want better quality and volume. Tuck them behind the set, and you won't see them.
Great picture if you are in front of the TV, or not too much to the side (about six-seven feet) after that it starts to go dark, and you will have difficulty in seeing a good picture.
There is no 'pausing' of live T.V. facility, but it states in the manual you 'can' pause live T.V. when recording via USB. This I have yet to try.
